Frank Simac is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and Clinical Supervisor In-Training (CS-IT) who provides both mental health and substance abuse counseling services to adults and families. Frank has experience providing therapy for anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, relationships, community resources, and co-occurring mental health and substance abuse concerns. Frank received his Masters of Science Degree in Community Mental Health, with a Mental Health Counseling Concentration at Southern New Hampshire University. Frank has experience working with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness in a Community Support Program for over four years. Frank’s clinical orientation in a therapeutic relationship is person-centered care and is fluid to best fit the needs of the client, starting with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); assessing the problem and potential solutions along with the results of choices people make in their lives. Frank is formally training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). Frank has experience as a adjunct instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). Frank believes in the importance of community and has experience volunteering with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and St. Francis Youth Football Coach.
