Cynthia is a graduate of Lakeland College Master of Arts Program in Community Counseling as well as a Post Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Therapy Training Institute in Milwaukee. She brings over 12 years of experience in working with behaviorally difficult adolescents, children and their families both in the Treatment Foster System as well as private therapy using a Trauma Informed approach to promote healing within the individual as well as their family. Cynthia believes that a systemic approach to healing provides the most lasting benefits to the family as a whole, while at the same time, using the client centered approach to promote self-acceptance, improve self-esteem and increase confidence in relationships through positive communication skills. Cynthia believes in taking a collaborative approach with clients and using their strengths to encourage change and overcome difficulties.
